Where Do You Stand in the Income Distribution?
Enter annual U.S. household income to compare it with Census Bureau thresholds at the 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th, and 95th percentiles. The marker and estimate change with your input; values between published thresholds use linear interpolation. The reference is before-tax household money income in 2025 dollars, not individual salary, and no age or household-type adjustment is available. The percentile estimate linearly interpolates between the Census CPS ASEC 2025 household income threshold observations and does not extrapolate below the 20th or above the 95th percentile. This U.S. comparison uses before-tax household income, not personal wages. Intermediate percentiles are interpolation estimates; do not use them as a determination of eligibility or financial advice. Based on the United States: all households, before-tax money income, in 2025 dollars. The source does not provide age or household-type splits. Bundled data last updated 2026-10-19.
