Alignable Tips

The costliest Alignable mistakes are importing a whole contact list, cancelling without keeping proof, and buying a sponsorship before the terms are in writing. Each one has a reported case behind it. Fix them before you join. [11] [4] [10]

Common mistakes and what to do instead

Importing your whole contact list, or tapping Skip without reading

What to do instead
Import only the people you would email yourself, and read each onboarding screen before you continue
Why it matters
Contacts were emailed in members’ names, and a mistaken Skip in February 2024 invited a whole list [3] [11]

Assuming there is an annual discount

What to do instead
Check the monthly and any annual price at checkout
Why it matters
No annual price appears in any source, and a reviewer’s $600 a year works out to $50 a month [3] [1]

Waiting for support before disputing a charge

What to do instead
Contact your card issuer promptly and keep your evidence, watching its dispute deadline. Support can be contacted at the same time
Why it matters
One reported chargeback led to a locked account and slow support [3]

Citing a review without checking the business

What to do instead
Check that the reply names your business
Why it matters
Company replies in at least two reviews concern a different business from the one reviewed [6]

For owners: the tips that save money

Count your requests before you pay. Five free requests a month is about one a week. Member at $29 gives 15, which is $1.93 each only if you send all 15. [1]

Import contacts one at a time. Invitations and contact emails have gone out in members’ names, and reviewers say the emails continued after account deletion. Choose each person yourself. [3] [11]

Write down your cancellation date. Paid benefits run to the end of the billing period after you cancel, and reviewers still report charges after they cancelled. The confirmation and the date are your proof. [2] [4]

Get sponsorship terms in writing. Refunds stop once a campaign launches, and a $2,000 campaign was refused a refund in January 2026. Ask for the renewal date and the refund rule before you sign. [10] [8]

Keep your ID ready if you may leave. Four one- and two-star reviewers describe an identity check when closing an account or deleting data, so check before you need to. [5]

For members who want results: go where the connections happen

Go to events in your first month. Positive reviewers credit events, Smart Connect meetings and Ambassador-run groups for their connections, so start where those happen. [7]

Read the group rules before you promote. One 2023 post was not allowed, and a 2024 reviewer found groups hard to tell from communities, so ask before your first post. [9]
