Frequently asked questions
Is ADPList free?
Booking a free session costs nothing, and no application or waiting list stands in the way. Some mentors charge, and their price is shown on the profile before you book. [1] [2]
How much does a paid session cost?
Each mentor sets the price, and ADPList publishes no price list, range or average. Its December 2023 help article gives one example: a $599 package of three sessions, billed as one total. ADPList says it cannot charge mentees per session. [2] [3]
Can I get a refund for a paid session?
No refund route is published. The Terms, the FAQ and ADPList’s own guide don’t describe one, and the guide tells readers to check the terms before they pay. [4] [2] [5]
What happens if my mentor doesn’t show up?
Wait about 10 minutes, then mark the no-show during the session. If the button isn’t available, email ADPList’s help address with the mentor’s name, date, time and screenshots. The help article describes no refund or credit. [6] [7]
Can I undo a no-show mark?
Yes, within 24 hours. ADPList doesn’t say what happens to a mark that stands after that. [6]
Are my session recordings used to train AI?
The Terms allow it. The privacy policy says training uses anonymised data with explicit consent. Those two documents don’t match, so ask ADPList in writing before you record. The privacy summary sets out each point. Journal recordings happen only when everyone in the session has opted in. [4] [8] [9]
Is Partner free, and how much can I practise?
ADPList calls Partner free “right now”, which is not a promise that it stays free. Practice is capped at 3 sessions a day, and ADPList hasn’t published a price for after the launch. [10] [11]
How many interviews does Partner cover, and for which roles?
The interview page lists 62 interviews across Design, Product, Research and Career. A July 2026 help article says 45, so use the newer figure. The launch post targets design, product management and UX research roles, and other roles are untested. [12] [11] [10]
How hard is it to become a mentor?
ADPList asks for five years’ experience and a manual review that can take up to a week. A founder interview puts the approval rate near 30%. [13] [14]
Is ADPList legit, and what do the ratings say?
ADPList’s guide calls its vetting “a filter, not a guarantee.” Trustpilot shows 4.7 from 219 reviews, with about 9 one-star. Those reviews are self-selected, so read the reviews of the mentor you are booking. [5] [15]
Is there a cancellation policy for mentees?
No mentee cancellation policy appears in the FAQ or the Terms. Ask the mentor before you book what happens if you need to cancel, and keep their answer in writing. [2]
Does ADPList use AI to match me with a mentor?
No. ADPList describes its AI as practice tools such as Partner, and it does not claim AI matching of mentors. [1]
