Founder and startup talent network ยท Pricing guide
Stay on the free CoffeeSpace tier until you know which paid filter you need. Premium Class is $24.99 a month, or $12.50 a month on the 6-month plan, and CoffeeSpace's Terms give no refund route. [1] [4]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| Plan | Per month (monthly) | Prepaid plan | What you get | Is it worth it? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoffeeSpace Premium Class | $24.99 | $74.99 upfront for 6 months ($12.50/month) | Paid filters in the mobile app: age range, equity preference, number of founders, prior startup experience | Only if one of those filters is essential for the next few months.[1] [3] |
| CoffeeSpace Business Class | $49.99 | $99.99 upfront for 3 months ($33.33/month) | Certain filters; the store does not list each one | Only after the free tier shows you the filter you need.[1] [3] |
| CoFoundersLab Premium | $29 | Monthly price only | 30-day free trial | A trial test if you want another paid cofounder tool.[6] |
| Y Combinator Cofounder Matching | $0 | $0 | Free, but profiles need approval first; up to a week per YC's FAQ | Yes for founders who can wait for approval.[7] [8] |
| Omnitwine | Free | Free | AI connects you with members on the other side who fit, each with a reason; member directory for signed-in members, listing every member's name, email and LinkedIn | Nothing to pay; both sides decide whether to connect.[9] [10] |
For most people starting out, yes. CoffeeSpace says creating a profile, matching and chatting are free for builders and founders, and the paid tiers add filters. Its homepage does not say which features are paid, so the free version is the only way to see what you are missing. [2]
The free tier falls short on filters. The Playground demo lists four filters (age range, equity preference, number of founders, prior startup experience) that work only in the mobile app, and it says Business Class unlocks certain filters. [3] [1]
The test: on the free tier, set your filters and count how many candidates you see. Then open the filter screen and note which settings ask you to pay. A filter narrows the pool you already have, so a thin free pool stays thin after you pay.
TechCrunch reported in November 2024 that free users got 10 matches. No current source gives a free match limit, so check the match counter in the app before you pay. [5]
Premium Class is $24.99 a month, or $74.99 for six months. Business Class is $49.99 a month, or $99.99 for three months. Both are sold through the App Store, which also lists weekly prices. [1]
The weekly prices look small until you convert them. Premium at $9.99 a week is about $43.29 a month, and Business at $24.99 a week is about $108.29 a month. The longer the term you pay up front, the lower the monthly figure. [1]
| Plan | Price as listed | Per month | How we got it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Class, weekly | $9.99 | about $43.29 | $9.99 x 52 / 12 |
| Premium Class, monthly | $24.99 | $24.99 | as listed |
| Premium Class, 3 months | $49.99 | $16.66 | $49.99 / 3 |
| Premium Class, 6 months | $74.99 | $12.50 | $74.99 / 6 |
| Business Class, weekly | $24.99 | about $108.29 | $24.99 x 52 / 12 |
| Business Class, monthly | $49.99 | $49.99 | as listed |
| Business Class, 3 months | $99.99 | $33.33 | $99.99 / 3 [1] |
The arithmetic assumes every week is paid and no discount applies. Someone who pays weekly for Premium for a year spends about $519. Monthly billing costs about $300 for the same year, and two 6-month plans cost about $150. The 6-month plan is the cheapest, but $74.99 leaves your account at once. [1]
The price has moved. TechCrunch reported Premium at $50 a month in November 2024, and the App Store lists $24.99 now. The 2024 article may describe a different tier, so the App Store figure is the current price. [5] [1]
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn them off at least 24 hours before the period ends. The App Store listing gives this renewal rule, and it is the only one the store states. [1]
CoffeeSpace's Terms, dated 24 January 2025, contain no refund or cancellation clause. A refund therefore depends on Apple accepting the request under its own process. Put the renewal date in your calendar the day you subscribe. [4]
The Terms also require binding arbitration and bar class or representative actions. The exceptions to that arbitration are the part to read before you rely on any dispute route. [4]
The store sells coffee bundles: 3 for $9.99 ($3.33 each), 10 for $24.99 ($2.50 each) and 30 for $49.99 ($1.67 each). The store does not say what one coffee unlocks, so do not buy a bundle until the app shows you what a coffee does. [1]
