The complaints moved from matching quality to money and data
In 2024, the complaints were about matching quality: a Show HN commenter found the same candidates for two unrelated topics, and a Product Hunt reviewer saw a lack of adoption. In 2025 and 2026, the complaints shifted to how fast the picks arrive and what happens to your money and data. [4] [5] [2]
The 2026 Google Play reviews are the largest recent sample, but few of them name a specific problem with money or data. So the money and data points below rest on CoffeeSpace's Terms and the store's data-safety declaration, not on counted user reports. [3]
Daily picks arrive too slowly
One App Store reviewer in October 2025 says the daily profile trickle is too slow. The developer replied on 27 October 2025 that it is testing an advanced search with about 100 users. The reply gives no rollout date, so the slow feed may last for some time. [2]
What to do: Give the free feed two weeks before you pay for anything. Count the candidates you see each day, and treat that count as your baseline before you judge whether a paid filter helps.
The same candidates come back for different topics
A Show HN commenter in October 2024 said topic matching returned the same candidates in the same order for two very different topics, and suspected too few candidates or a demo. A second commenter called the marketing 'very polished' but 'misleading'. Only one of these is a user account, and the whole thread had four comments. [4]
What to do: Test two unrelated topics yourself in the free tier. If the lists match, ask the company in writing what the matching uses before you pay for filters that narrow the same pool.
Money you cannot get back
The Terms contain no refund or cancellation clause, and they require binding arbitration and bar class or representative actions. App Store refunds follow Apple's process. If you pay and want out, the Terms give you no written route. [6]
What to do: Turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. If a charge is wrong, ask Apple for the refund through your App Store purchase history, and keep a screenshot of the price you agreed to. [1]
Data is not encrypted in transit, by the developer's own declaration
The Google Play data-safety panel says data is not encrypted in transit, and the privacy policy does not address it. The same panel says data is not shared with third parties. [3] [7]
What to do: Ask the company in writing whether data is encrypted in transit before you upload a résumé or connect your LinkedIn profile. Until you have the answer, share only what the matching needs.
The talent network is later than the company first said
In June 2026 the company said the talent network would go live 'in the next couple of weeks'. In October 2026 it said the network is 'invite-only while in beta'. Job seekers who planned around the June date have waited longer than the company first described. [8] [9]
What to do: Keep a second search running. Do not hold a job search for an invitation with no date.
