Founder and startup talent network · How it works guide
CoffeeSpace matches you only with people who meet both sides' stated requirements, so the requirements decide the list. The company's timings are its own claims, and the talent side is invite-only in beta. [1] [2] [4]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| Step | Who acts | The clock | If nobody acts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign up and build a profile | You | Not stated | No profile, so no matching[2] |
| Profile from public LinkedIn data and your input | You | Not stated | Matching runs on what you entered[1] |
| Set requirements and filters | You | Not stated | Defaults and any chosen filters apply[3] |
| Daily picks | CoffeeSpace | One set a day; limit not stated | Nothing to act on[9] |
| Match when both requirements fit | Both people | Company claims a median of 3 matches in week one | No match[2] [1] |
| Chat in the app | Both people | Not stated | The match goes unused[2] |
The key rule is simple. CoffeeSpace shows you candidates who meet each other's requirements, so a candidate outside your settings never reaches you, and you do not reach them either. TechCrunch reported this rule in November 2024, and the company's homepage describes matching on 'startup signal, mutual intent, and real-world feedback' without a method. [1] [2]
That makes the setup step the most important one. Your filters and dealbreakers decide the list you see, and a looser setting floods the feed while a tight one can empty it. [3]
Four of the six steps have no stated clock: signing up, building the profile, setting filters and chatting after a match. The daily limit on picks is not stated either, so the only timing given is the company's own claim about a first match. [2] [3]
The company's homepage says a median founder gets 3 matches in week one. That figure has no stated period, sample or definition of 'median', so plan for the match rate you see in your own first week instead. [2]
The daily feed is where the wait shows. One App Store reviewer in October 2025 found the profile trickle too slow, and the developer says an advanced search is in testing with about 100 users, with no launch date. [9]
The homepage claims startups see a first candidate within 24 hours. The same page says recruiter tools have separate pricing, and the AI site asks for a call or a demo before any price. Expect a sales step before you see the pool. [2] [7]
The company says talent get a first match in 72 hours and that 55% of submitted candidates reach an interview. The October 2026 post defines the 55% as a share of submitted candidates, with no period or count. Typical times to offer are 2 to 4 weeks from first call for seed to Series A, 4 to 8 weeks for Series B and later, and 1 to 3 months for a full search. The company gives no data behind those figures. [2] [5]
The sign-up form asks for your name, email, LinkedIn URL, whether you are open to work, and a résumé of up to 10 MB. The network is invite-only while in beta, so the sign-up is a waitlist, not a route to matches. [6] [4]
Most people get stuck at the paid filters. The four filters that matter most for founders are paid, so a free search that looks thin may be the paywall, not the pool. Check which filters you cannot set before you judge the matches. [3] [8]
Talent and startup hiring are US-focused according to the homepage FAQ, while cofounder matching is described as global. A job seeker outside the US should check eligibility before spending time on the form. [2]
