Common questions
How much does Fiverr charge buyers?
5.5% of every payment, plus $3.50 on orders under $200. A $100 gig costs you $109. [1] [2]
How much does Fiverr take from sellers?
20% of every order, including tips and extras, so a $100 order pays you $80. Counting what buyers pay too, Fiverr keeps about 28% of all the money that passes through it. [3] [4]
When do sellers get paid?
14 days after an order is marked complete, or 7 days for some higher-level sellers. If you need it sooner, eligible sellers can pay 1% for an early payout. [3] [6] [7]
What does it cost to withdraw?
Nothing to PayPal, and the money usually arrives within a day. Bank transfers through Payoneer cost $1 to $3, and converting to another currency can cost another 2% to 4%. [5] [6] [8]
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you cancel through the order page while the order is still open. The refund goes to your Fiverr balance first; ask for it to go back to your card, which usually takes about 10 days. [9] [10]
How long do I have to check a delivery?
Three days. After that the order completes automatically, though you can extend the review by five days. Ask for any fixes through the order page, not in chat, or the order may close first. [11] [12]
How long does it take to get a first order?
Anywhere from a couple of weeks to three months, according to guides. Most new sellers should treat the first two or three months as setup, not income. [13] [14]
Is Seller Plus worth it?
Not until you're getting orders regularly. It costs $15 to $49 a month, doesn't lower the 20% cut and doesn't move you up in search. What it adds is analytics and, at the top tier, a success manager; both only help once you have sales to learn from. [15] [16]
Why was my account suspended, and can I appeal?
Fiverr can suspend you after two warnings for the same issue, or three for different ones, often without much explanation. You keep access to withdraw your money for 60 days after a restriction, and you have six months to appeal. [17] [18]
Why can't I verify my identity?
Usually because of an old phone number, an internet-based number (which Fiverr doesn't accept), or a photo of a document instead of the original. After a failed attempt, you have to wait six hours before trying again. [20] [19]
Is it safe to share files and documents on Fiverr?
Be careful. In April 2026, files shared in Fiverr messages were found to be publicly reachable; Fiverr said it wasn't a cyber incident. Keep IDs, tax forms and contracts out of message attachments. [21] [22]
Is Fiverr still a good place to find work?
It's harder than it was. Fiverr's active buyers fell from 3.3 million at 30 September 2025 to 2.4 million at 30 September 2026, down about 26% in a year, so there are fewer new clients to go round, even if those who stay spend more. [4]
