BestJobSearchApps' Wellfound Job Search Guide, updated 2 May 2026, covers profile and resume setup, a 10-step search-and-apply checklist, filters and alerts, common mistakes, and a comparison with general job boards. It has no named author, and the page shows no paid link or affiliate offer. [1]
The same site's how-to article, updated 12 May 2026, is the one to read if you use Wellfound as both a job seeker and a recruiter. It explains how to manage both profiles, covers application limits, and has a four-question FAQ. At about 700 to 800 words, it is a quick read after the main guide. [2]
Wellfound's search setup article lists the filters you can set: one of 50 predefined roles, location, salary range and currency, equity range, job type, required experience, investment stage and employee count. It also explains the "Include jobs with no salary listed" toggle, which decides whether roles without a posted salary appear in your results. The article has no date, so check each filter name against the screen you see. [4]
The applying article, updated 5 November 2024, sets out five steps from sign-up to tracking. Its one hard rule is that applications expire after two weeks of inactivity, so a role you saved last month may need a fresh application. Wellfound's candidates page says creating a profile and applying is always free for candidates, and its paid plans sit under the company side of the site, so check pricing before you pay for anything. [5] [6]
DiziSight's How to Use Wellfound for Job Search | Find Startup Jobs Fast (2026 Guide) is the best starting video for a first-time user. Its application walkthrough is the one to watch for the apply step, and its location video covers local, remote and hybrid roles. A fourth DiziSight video, How to Search for Startup Jobs on Wellfound | Find Your Dream Role (2026 Guide), covers startup role searches. [7] [8] [9] [10]
Paral Post uploaded a second video with the same title as DiziSight's, How to Use Wellfound for Job Search | Find Startup Jobs Fast (2026 Guide). Check the channel name before you click. The learnWithPrem video, How to Find Startup Jobs on Wellfound | Complete Guide for Freshers, is aimed at people with little experience. None of these video pages shows a running time, so check the length before you commit. [11] [12]
For job alerts, Howzenic's video, How To Set Up Job Alerts On AngelList, is the only video on saved-search alerts. It uses the old AngelList name, so the screens may differ from what you see today. The help center covers alerts in text only. [13]
BestJobSearchApps' startup job-hunting guide, updated 22 March 2026, is the one to read if you are deciding between LinkedIn and Wellfound for a startup search. It has a Wellfound-versus-LinkedIn section and step-by-step search tips. Its sources come from other sites, and the page does not describe any tests of its own. [3]
The LandOffer review, published 13 October 2026, gives a three-decision shortlist method and explains how a salary filter can hide roles and how to bring them back. It also tells you to check where a salary figure comes from before you rely on it. LandOffer sells its own AI agent and Chrome autofill, and an "Apply with LandOffer" beta it marks as not yet available, so read the method and skip the pitch. [14]
CTAIO's Wellfound guide for tech jobs is undated and has no byline. It is useful on the salary, equity and remote fields in your profile, and on which funding stages, from seed to Series C, suit which kind of job seeker. It promotes its own newsletter and executive jobs board throughout, so treat its recommendations as a pitch for those products. The profile and filter tips stand without them. [15]
Wellfound's blog post 7 Best Job Search Features on Wellfound, first published 6 September 2022 and updated 24 July 2026, lists remote preference, salary and equity, job type, keywords, company size and stage, an immigration toggle, and saved searches with alerts. The company wrote it and includes a "create a free account today" call, so it describes each feature without comparing Wellfound with other boards. [16]
