Job seekers pay nothing, and posting a job is free. The money goes to the paid tools: Recruit Pro is $499 a seat a month, and Curated adds 20% of the hire's base salary, so a $150,000 hire adds $30,000 on top of the seat. Refund terms conflict, so ask before you pay. [1] [2] [3] [4] [12]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| Plan | Per month (monthly) | Per month (annual) | What you get | Is it worth it? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Job seekers (core service) | $0 | $0 | Profile, search, applications and saved-search alerts | Yes. Nothing to pay for the core service.[1] [2] |
| Job posting | $0 | $0 | Unlimited listings; a listing with no salary range gets limited distribution unless promoted | Yes for a first listing with a salary range. The catch is reach, not price.[2] [8] |
| Promoted Jobs | Set by your budget; varies by posting | Not listed | Monthly subscription with an employer-set budget and a reach estimate before you pay; bulk discount for three or more listings | Only if free listings get too little reach. It renews monthly unless an Admin cancels.[8] [9] |
| Recruit Pro | $499 per seat | Not listed | Candidate search by location, skills, experience and education; sees résumés; bulk accept or reject | Yes for a recruiter who searches every week. Two seats cost $11,976 a year.[3] [9] |
| Curated | $499 per seat, plus 20% of the hire's base salary | Not listed | Vetted candidates in US software, product, data, design and sales; lists refresh twice a week | Only for roles you can't fill another way. A $150,000 hire adds $30,000.[4] [5] |
| Reach | From $135 per seat | Not listed | AI sourcing with ranked candidate results and company lists; outreach syncs with Gmail only | Only if you recruit most months. Check the price on your billing screen before you buy.[2] [7] |
| Autopilot | Contact sales | Not listed | A dedicated recruiter who delivers 5 to 10 candidates a week, plus a 10% placement fee on a successful hire | Only if you'd otherwise pay for recruiter time. Ask what the 10% is charged on.[6] [2] |
| Omnitwine | Free | Free | AI connects you with members on the other side who fit what you're looking for, each with a reason; you can browse the member directory for signed-in members, listing every member's name, email and LinkedIn | Yes, for matches on either side: a job for job seekers, or a hire for employers. It is not a job board and runs no hiring process, and both sides decide whether to connect.[16] [17] [18] [19] |
For job seekers, yes. Wellfound calls its core service complimentary, and its pricing page says $0 forever. Paid career services exist, such as resume and LinkedIn revisions, but Wellfound publishes no price for them, and reviewers are split on what they get. Ask for the price in writing before you agree to one. [1] [2] [14]
For employers, free posting is real but limited. A listing with no salary range gets limited distribution unless you promote it. Test the free route first: post one role with a salary range, then count the applicants who meet your must-haves after two weeks. If that count is too low, the paid tools are the next step. [8]
Recruit Pro is $499 per seat a month, billed upfront each month. It renews unless an Admin cancels, and cancelling stops the renewal while the plan runs to its end date. Only Admin or Recruiter team members can hold a seat. [3] [9] [10]
Curated charges the same $499 a seat a month, plus 20% of the hired candidate's base salary. On a $150,000 salary that is $30,000; on $200,000 it is $40,000. Wellfound's article does not say when the fee is billed, so ask before you sign. [4]
Reach starts at $135 a seat a month on the pricing page read on 2 Nov 2026. Autopilot is priced differently: Wellfound's blog says contact sales, and its placement fee is 10% of a successful hire, with no stated base. The table below shows what the employer plans cost over a year. [2] [6]
| Scenario | Calculation | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Recruit Pro, one seat, 12 months | $499 × 12 | $5,988 |
| Recruit Pro, two seats, 12 months | $499 × 12 × 2 | $11,976 |
| Curated, one seat for 12 months, one $150,000 hire | $5,988 seat + 20% × $150,000 | $35,988 |
| Curated, one seat for 12 months, one $200,000 hire | $5,988 seat + 20% × $200,000 | $45,988 |
| Reach, one seat, 12 months at the starting price | $135 × 12 | $1,620 |
| Autopilot, if it cost $500 a month for 10 candidates a week | $500 ÷ (10 × 4) | $12.50 per candidate, before the 10% fee [3] [4] [2] [6] |
Read the Curated rows as the real cost. The seat is $5,988 a year, and at $150,000 the fee is 83% of the $35,988 total. A $30,000 fee makes sense only if a recruiter's time, or a bad hire, would cost more. The seat row assumes the seat runs 12 months. [4]
Wellfound's terms disagree on refunds. The 2020 General Terms let you ask for a refund within seven days of payment, and say refunds are generally not offered. The 2019 Jobs Terms and the 2021 Source Terms call promoted and subscription fees non-refundable. Ask which terms cover the product you're buying before you pay. [12] [13]
Some employers on Trustpilot say paid listings or messages disappeared, and one small startup says its job ads renewed without a clear warning and it got a credit only. Set a reminder before each renewal date. Read more on the complaints page. [14] [15]
The pricing page says an applicant tracking system is included free on every plan. The same page lists ATS integration under its Growth and Scale tiers. Confirm which plan includes the integration you need before you rely on it, and check whether it fits your startup hiring plan. [2] [11]
