Start with one tracker, if you can host its backend
The nevans job tracker is an open-source Chrome extension. With a Wellfound posting open, it saves the company, role, location, company size, minimum experience, salary when the posting states one, and the full description to a job tracker. It handles one posting at a time and does not export a list. Use it if you want every application in one place and you are happy to run the storage yourself. [1]
Setup is manual. You put the address of your own tracker API into `src/api.js`, edit `manifest.json`, and load the folder unpacked in Chrome. The API may cost money to host. The repository shows no license, so ask the author before you reuse the code. If you would rather not write a config file, keep a simple list instead. [1]
Skip the scrapers unless you accept the account risk
Section III of Wellfound's General Terms, last updated June 2020, bans scraping and any automated access that puts more load on its servers than a person would. Each tool below conflicts with that clause. The account risk is yours to take, so skip all four unless you have decided it is worth it. [6]
2scraper's wellfound-scraper is the most complete of the code projects. It uses Playwright, Selenium or Puppeteer to export job titles, salary and equity ranges, company size and descriptions to JSON or CSV, under an MIT license. Its README refuses datacenter addresses, so you would need a residential proxy, which usually costs money. The same README says scraping is your responsibility. [2] [6]
midhun-m-i's wellfound-jobs-scraper exports job and company details to CSV under an MIT license. It is a very small project, with one star and two commits. jwc20's wellfound-scraper is the riskiest of the four. It logs into your Wellfound account and sends requests to its API, and its setup asks you to keep your Wellfound email and password in a `.env` file. It shows no license and does not document its output format. [3] [4]
The Wellfound Jobs Scraper Chrome extension is the one-click version. It exports job title, company, location and pay from a search results page to Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML. That is bulk export of a search page, which the terms prohibit. The listing shows an Add to Chrome button and no price, and its disclaimer names Facebook rather than Wellfound, so the listing may have been copied from another product. It has 84 users and no ratings. [5] [6]
