Silence after applying recurs in Trustpilot reviews from 2024 to 2026. The most serious problem is an account restricted without a stated reason, and Wellfound's terms allow it. Each section ends with what to do. [4] [1] [13]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| Complaint | Who it hits | What usually happens next | What helps |
|---|---|---|---|
| No reply after applying | Job seekers | Applications expire after two weeks with no company action | A stronger first two lines in the note[7] [10] |
| Account restricted or banned | Both | No stated reason; a ban can come without warning | Keep copies of your profile and dates[13] [1] |
| Support slow or silent | Both | Replies take hours to days and point to email | One written request with dates[1] [2] |
| Stale listings | Job seekers | Roles filled or listings removed | Check the posting before you write a note[2] |
| Paid listings or renewals | Employers | Renewal runs unless an Admin cancels | Cancel before the renewal date[12] [5] |
Job seekers describe hearing nothing after applying, and some describe restricted accounts. Employers describe paid listings and renewals. [4] [1]

| No reply after applying | Job seekers | Applications expire after two weeks with no company action | Tailor the note in its first two lines |

| Support slow or silent | Both | Replies take hours to days and point to email | Put each problem in writing, with dates |
| Stale listings | Job seekers | Roles already filled or listings removed | Check the listing is still open before you write a note |
| Paid listings or renewals | Employers | Renewal runs unless an Admin cancels; a credit may be the only remedy | Cancel before the renewal date |
| Location limits on remote roles | Job seekers | A remote role that won't hire in your country | Check the location before you apply [7] [13] [2] [3] [5] |
Many Trustpilot reviewers describe no reply, no interview, or one interview that went nowhere after applying. One reviewer applied to more than 200 tech sales roles for two interviews. Several said LinkedIn or Indeed was no better, so the problem is not unique to Wellfound. [4]
Once an application is sent, you cannot withdraw it. It stays on file, and if the company takes no action it expires after two weeks, ending on the following Thursday. Wellfound publishes no reply time. [8] [7]
What to do: send fewer, better-matched applications, put your fit in the first two lines of the note, and check the Applied tab rather than waiting on an email that may never come. Wellfound's own guidance is at how applying works. [10] [9]
A handful of reviewers describe an account restricted or banned without a stated reason, between November 2022 and September 2026. Some were tied to VPN use or a fraud-prevention system. In one case a company reply says a restriction was lifted after support contact in October 2025. [1]
The General Terms let Wellfound suspend or end access without notice and refuse registration for any reason, and they describe no appeal process. [13]
What to do: keep copies of your résumé, profile text and application dates outside Wellfound. If you use a VPN, know that some reviewers were restricted after using one. Reviewers say contacting support lifted some restrictions. [1]
A few reviewers say roles were already filled, or listings disappeared before they could apply (Sep 2024 to Feb 2026). Others describe remote roles that didn't hire in their country, and one employer says the remote setting defaults to worldwide. [2] [4]
Stale listings and fake applicants are both in the reviews. One employer says fake applicants flooded its posts, while a founder in March 2026 says the site bans fake accounts. One reviewer says postings look fake and another calls them legitimate, and Wellfound publishes no fraud rate. [1] [4]
What to do: read the location line on a remote role before you write a note, and check the salary range, since listings that show one get wider distribution. [11]
Some employers describe paid listing content disappearing, one for weeks in March 2025. Another, a small startup, says job ads renewed without a clear warning and it got a credit only (May 2023). Wellfound says in one case that the removal was temporary and restored within 20 minutes. [3] [5]
Recruit Pro and promoted subscriptions bill upfront each month and renew unless an Admin cancels. Refund terms conflict: the 2020 General Terms allow a request within seven days, while the 2019 and 2021 terms call subscription fees non-refundable. [12] [13] [14]
What to do: put the renewal date in your calendar when you buy, cancel before it, and ask Wellfound in writing which refund terms apply to the product before you pay. The pricing page shows the costs. [12] [13]
Reviewers report no reply for 14 hours in September 2026, about two days in February 2026, and three days in March 2024. Replies often send users to email. Wellfound publishes no support response time, so these are the reviewers' own figures. [1] [2]
What to do: write each problem as a single email with the account email, the date and the screenshot. Dated written requests are easier to chase than a phone call you can't prove. [1]
