Boardy FAQ
Does Boardy cost anything to use?
Not for talking or for introductions. The Terms say the service is free to use now, and you pay your own phone carrier charges for calls. Boardy says future fees would be notified in advance. [1] [2]
Is the $100 payout real, and who gets it?
Yes, under the Terms. The $100 is paid once to users who schedule 25 unique meetings in 30 days, up to a $5,000 total, which is about 50 payments. The Terms limit it to users who receive the offer from Boardy and reply to it, while the booking page describes $100 for anyone who sets up the service. [1]
What do I pay after taking the payout?
Taking the $100 ends your free calendar access. Keeping the calendar service afterward costs $100 a month plus taxes. The Terms do not say whether that charge bills automatically. [1]
How many free introductions do I get?
The FAQ confirms daily and per-person caps but publishes no numbers. Three third-party guides say the daily cap is three introductions, but Boardy gives no figure to check them against. [2] [5] [6] [7]
How long until the first introduction?
The company says the average match takes 17 hours, with no method given. User reports range from a call within about an hour of signing up, to an introduction about 10 minutes after a first call, to five days of silence after one call. [3] [8] [9] [10]
Does anyone see my details without my consent?
No. Introductions need both people to say yes, and email and phone are shared only after both opt in. Public LinkedIn data can build your profile, and figures in your brief may be shared unless you mark them private. [2] [4] [11]
Can Boardy book meetings on my calendar?
Yes, if you connect a calendar, within limits. The Privacy Policy allows write access only for meetings Boardy books or is asked to manage. One user reports a meeting booked without her asking. [4] [10]
Is Boardy a job board?
No. Work Insiders calls it “not a sourcing database or outreach tool,” and introductions still need both people to say yes before anything is shared. [12] [2]
What data does Boardy keep, and for how long?
Profile data is kept while your account is active and for two years after deletion. Communication records are kept for three years, and session replays for up to 90 days. OpenAI and Anthropic process conversations, and Meta and other ad platforms receive data for targeted advertising. [4]
Is Boardy legitimate, or a scam?
The public record is thin rather than negative. Trustpilot and SmartCustomer show zero reviews, and automated checkers rate the domain as legitimate, but those scores do not test the service. One user reports a human impersonator, and Boardy says messages not from @boardy.ai are not Boardy. [13] [14] [15] [16]
