Relationship intelligence ยท Recruiters guide
Recruiters should use Happenstance for sourcing from a network they already have, not as a pipeline tool. A Team seat is $24 a month, with no published annual seat price, and the product has no CRM import or applicant-tracking integration. Plan to send each intro yourself through a mutual connection. Happenstance searches the people in the sources you connect and the public web, and returns named people with mutual connections and a route to each. A recruiter's search looks for candidates you already know across networks, which is the use one App Store reviewer described on 24 August 2026. [3] [6] [11]
The company's recruiting page says groups pool connections into one searchable network. That is useful for a hiring team, provided the group's members agree on what they will share. [2]
The Team plan is $24 per seat a month. Pro seats can be assigned to named members, and API credits are bought on one bill with usage tracked by member. The pricing page shows only the monthly seat price, not an annual one. [1]
Team seats are priced per seat, so a five-person search team pays five seat prices. Ask for the annual seat figure before you budget for a full year, and confirm whether each seat has every Pro feature. [1]
The company's comparison pages say Happenstance has no CRM import, no ATS integration, no outreach sequences and no job-change tracking. Candidates you find will need to be entered in your own system by hand. [7]
Results cover only connected people and public web profiles. An empty list can mean that nothing is uploaded, so check the upload before you treat a candidate pool as empty. [4]
Happenstance drafts intro requests but does not send them. The mutual connection still has to forward the request, so the search is the first step and the forwarding is the one that reaches the candidate. [4] [2]
Agree with the referrer what they will say before you send the request, so the candidate hears one consistent story. [2]
Public profiles show named connections by default, and the setting is on until a user changes it. Ask candidates and team members to check their own setting before you pool networks. [8]
The privacy policy does not name LinkedIn. The LinkedIn page describes an export and does not address LinkedIn's own terms of use. The security page says user data is never used to train AI models, but the policy is silent on training. Ask the company in writing before you use the product for candidate data. [10] [8] [9]
Yes, as a sourcing add-on for people in a network you already have, if you can run the pipeline in another tool. No, as your main recruiting system, because the company's own pages list no CRM or applicant-tracking link. [7] [1]
