Professional network ยท Features guide

LinkedIn Features

Pay for InMail only if you message people who aren't in your network. On Premium Career that works out to $8 an InMail on monthly billing; Sales Navigator Core brings it to $2.40. Free job posts and creator analytics are worth using as they are. [1] [2]

InMail is the only feature with a clear price per message

Premium Career includes 5 InMails a month for $39.99 on monthly billing, which is $8.00 per message. Sales Navigator Core includes 50 for $119.99, or $2.40 each. Recruiter Lite gives 30 per license, and the page shows no paid price. [1] [2] [3]

The numbers decide who should pay. A job seeker sending a handful of messages to people outside their network pays for a month and stops. Someone doing cold outreach every week gets far more per dollar from Sales Navigator.

Promoted posts are a test budget, not a default

A promoted job post gets unlimited applicants, up to 350 invites to recommended candidates, five InMails per post and 40 AI video interviews. You pay for it by the view. LinkedIn bills every 30 days from the first post, or within 24 hours once the balance reaches $500, so set a total budget before you start. [4] [5]

A free job post is enough for one local role

You can keep one free post open at a time. It stays active for 14 days, then pauses, and closes after 30 days if you don't promote it. A free post typically draws 10 to 30 applicants. LinkedIn says it may ask you to promote a post or verify your identity, without saying when, so a competitive role may need the paid route. [5]

Creator analytics are free, and that's the feature to use

Content and audience analytics are free for every member. Custom date ranges work only in the mobile app, so set them there if you need them. There is nothing to pay for here. [6]

Who Viewed Your Profile is a reason to look, not a reason to pay

Profile views are the Premium feature people talk about most. Use the feature to check whether recruiters are looking, and don't judge a plan by it alone.
