Peerlist's ratings are thin: 4.6 from 28 Product Hunt reviews, of which only 13 are visible, and App Store scores from 6 and 22 ratings. Most visible reviews are positive, but the problems they describe are 3 to 4 years old, so read them as a checklist rather than a verdict. [1] [2]

|---|---|---|---|
| Product Hunt | 4.6 / 5 | 28 (13 visible) | Launch-era makers; 11 of the 13 visible reviews are positive or mixed-positive[1] |
| Apple App Store, U.S. | 4.8 / 5 | 6 | Day-to-day app use. Six ratings is too few to score on[2] |
| Apple App Store, India | 4.4 / 5 | 22 | App use in India, version 1.2.8. Small sample[2] |
| Software directory listing (Spotsaas) | None shown | 0 | Says Peerlist has no user reviews, which the 28 Product Hunt reviews contradict[3] |
Product Hunt is the only rating with a real sample, and only 13 of its 28 reviews show on the reviews page. Most of those 13 are 3 to 4 years old, so they describe an earlier Peerlist. [1]
The App Store ratings look strong, 4.8 in the U.S. from 6 ratings and 4.4 in India from 22. Those counts are too small to score on, so they say only that the few people who rated the app liked it. [2]
The App Store rates the app day to day: whether it opens, works and looks clean. Product Hunt rates launch-day users, who tried a product when it was new and wrote about it. Neither says much about how Peerlist's team handles a problem. [2] [1]
A software directory lists Peerlist with no user reviews and quote-based pricing. That listing contradicts the 28 Product Hunt reviews, so treat it as unreliable and do not count it against Peerlist. [3]
Of the 13 visible Product Hunt reviews, 11 are positive or mixed-positive. The praise is consistent: clean design, the mobile app, GitHub, Hashnode and Dribbble integrations, and the portfolio format that Peerlist calls proof of work. [1]
The integrations match Peerlist's main promise: work published on GitHub, Dribbble or Medium appears in one profile. That is where the praise sits, more than in the launch. [1]
Two of the 13 visible reviews report problems: one signup error and one unanswered support email. Both are about 3 to 4 years old, so they describe an older app. [1]
| Problem | Who it hits | How often (sample, dates) | How bad it gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Support is slow or silent | Everyone | 1 of 13 visible Product Hunt reviews, about 4 years old; Product Hunt's AI-written review digest names it too | One email went unanswered for about 10 days. Peerlist publishes no response times |
| Signup and profile bugs | Everyone | 1 of 13 visible reviews (an email signup error), about 3 years old; a location field that would not save is named in older reviews, no count | Peerlist may have fixed them |
| Direct messages limited to verified users | Unverified members | Stated in the version 1.2.8 app notes (dated 8 Sept, year not shown); no count | You may not be able to message people until you verify |
| Profile sections removed | Members who added them | Stated in the version 1.2.8 app notes (dated 8 Sept, year not shown); no count | Certificates, bootcamps and volunteering sections were removed, so check your profile [1] [2] |
The 4.6 comes from 28 reviews, but only 13 are visible. Of those 13, 2 report a problem, which is too few to call a pattern. Read the score as a small sign that early users liked the product, not as proof that it works for your job. [1]
Check the date on each review first. Most of the useful complaints are 3 to 4 years old, and Peerlist has changed its app since, including the version 1.2.8 changes. Then look for reviews from your own role: a developer's view of the GitHub import tells you more than a launch-day comment. [1] [2]
Test the support route yourself before you rely on it. Send one question from your registered email, note how long the reply takes, and decide from that. The reviews give one data point. [1]
