Builder profiles and jobs ยท Features guide
The portfolio integrations and a finished Launchpad launch are the features worth using, and both are free. Verification is the one with a hidden price: the workplace check is free, but the identity fee is not published, and it cannot be refunded. [1] [3] [8] [9]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| Feature | What it does | Who it's for | The catch | Worth using? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Portfolio integrations | Pulls GitHub, Dribbble, Medium, Hashnode and Product Hunt work into your profile | Developers and designers | The list can change; confirm it in profile settings | Yes, if you publish work in those places[1] [2] |
| Launchpad | A weekly window, opening Monday for one week, to launch a product | Makers | The product must be 100% complete on your profile at launch; upvote requests are banned | Yes, with a finished product[3] [5] |
| Scroll posts | Posts tagged #show, #ask, #book, #hiring, #open_for or #event | Everyone | Link posts need a caption; #hiring is limited to people tied to a company or offering referrals | #show for your work; #hiring only from inside a company[6] |
| Streaks and Super Upvote | A 14-day activity streak gives a Super Upvote that counts double on Launchpad | Makers | Streaks are tracked in UTC, not in your local time | Only as a side effect of posting regularly[7] |
| Verification | Identity check through Stripe, or a free check against your current workplace email | Everyone | The identity fee is unpublished and non-refundable; freelancers without a company email have no document route | Workplace: yes. Identity: once the fee is known[8] [9] |
| Resume import | Copies work and education from a public LinkedIn profile, one time and up to three uses | Freelancers and new members | No sync; a later autofill can overwrite data and remove verifications | Once, then check your verifications[11] |
| Career Site | Hosts a company's Peerlist jobs on its own subdomain | Employers | Cost and branding are not stated; it needs DNS records and up to 60 minutes to propagate | Only with company admin access and live jobs[12] |
The integrations are what reviewers praise most: GitHub, Hashnode and Dribbble pull your public work into one profile. For a developer or designer who already publishes in those places, the feature costs nothing and saves the work of keeping several portfolios current. [2] [1]
Confirm the list in your profile settings before you rely on it, because the help center does not give one current list. [1]
A launch opens on Monday and runs for one week, and you can schedule it for another day that week. The product has to sit on your profile and be 100% complete at launch time. An incomplete product fails, so the fix is a finished listing, not a bigger budget. [3]
Ranking is an aggregate of upvotes, comments, views, link visits and traction. Upvotes from verified profiles count for more, though Peerlist does not say how much. So verification helps a launch, which is one reason to verify before launch week. [4]
#hiring posts on Scroll are limited to people directly associated with a company or offering referrals. If you are not inside the company, a hiring post is not a route to a job. [6]
For everyone else, #show is the useful post type. Link-only posts without a caption are removed automatically, so write a caption for anything you share from another site. [6]
The workplace check costs nothing and uses your current company's email. If your company is not in the dropdown, the code goes to your student email and a person reviews the request within 24 to 48 hours. Only your current workplace can be verified. [9]
The identity check uses a government ID through Stripe, and Peerlist names no fee. You can remove verification in settings, so you can try the free route first and decide on the paid one later. [8] [10]
The Resume tab copies work and education from a public LinkedIn profile. The import is one time, with up to three uses, and it does not sync. A later autofill can overwrite data and remove verifications, which Peerlist's own page warns about. [11]
What to do: run the import once, then check each verified item before you rely on it. [11]
The app's version 1.2.8 update limited direct messages to verified users, and it removed the certificates, bootcamps and volunteering sections from profiles. The help center does not describe the messaging rule, so treat it as the app's current behaviour. [13]
What to do: if you had certificates, bootcamps or volunteering on your profile, check whether they are still there before you rely on the profile for an application. [13]
