Alignable for Freelancers
Alignable fits freelancers whose clients are local business owners. For anyone else, LinkedIn or a personal website is the usual choice. Stay on the free plan, and do not import a client list until you know how invitations are sent. [2] [4]

Alignable fits freelancers whose clients are local business owners
Paperbell, a coaching business, suggests LinkedIn or a personal website for most coaches. Its advice is aimed at coaches whose clients are local business owners, so the fit depends on who pays you. [2]
If your clients are local owners, Alignable’s events and alliances are the closest match. If they are not, the membership is hard to justify. [7]
The free plan covers a freelancer’s first test
Member at $29 gives 15 requests, or $1.93 each. If five introductions a month would fill your pipeline, the free plan already does that job. Pay only when you can show that the extra requests produced work. [1] [2]
Do not import a client list until you know who gets the invite
Contacts imported as invitations have been emailed in members’ names, and more than 20 people report it, including after deletion. A freelancer with a client list has the most to lose from that. [4]
What to do: Invite only the clients you have already spoken to, one at a time, and keep a copy of your own list outside Alignable.
LinkedIn is the usual comparison, and both sources have a stake in it
Reviewers say LinkedIn is free and better, in opinions from 2019 to 2025. A 2023 agency comparison says most of Alignable’s free features also exist on LinkedIn and Facebook. Both sources sell services, so treat them as opinions, not measurements. [6] [3]
Should a freelancer join?
Only if your clients are local owners and you will attend their events. Start on the free plan, and treat a $29 upgrade as a bet you have to win, not a default.
