Founder and startup talent network ยท Reviews guide
Both store ratings are high, but the App Store score rests on 232 ratings, and 6% of Google Play's written reviews repeat an opening. Recent Google Play text shows how the app works now; App Store reviews mostly date from the 2024 launch. [1] [3]

|---|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store | 4.8 / 5 | 232 ratings | Star ratings from people who chose to rate the app; no breakdown shown[1] |
| Google Play | 4.5 / 5 | about 1,890 ratings | The same for Android users; 1,183 written reviews visible, 1,084 dated 2026[3] |
| Product Hunt | 4.7 / 5 | 3 reviews, April 2024 | Early users at launch; too few to read as a rating[4] |

CoffeeSpace has 4.8 stars from 232 ratings on the App Store and 4.5 from about 1,890 on Google Play. Both are good scores. The App Store count is small beside the company's claim of 30,000+ mobile users (June 2026), so a few reviews move that rating more than they would on a larger base. Ratings checked in November 2026: App Store on 4 November, Google Play on 2 November. [1] [3] [6]
The two stores cover different periods. Eight of the ten visible App Store reviews come from the 2024 launch, so the App Store rating mostly reflects early users. Google Play's written reviews are mostly recent, with 1,084 of 1,183 dated 2026, so the Android text is the better guide to the app as it is now. [2] [3]
Product Hunt's 4.7 comes from three reviews in April 2024. It shows that early users liked the launch, not how the app performs in 2026. [4]
Nine of the ten visible App Store reviews, from June 2024 to October 2025, are positive. One October 2025 reviewer says they found a cofounder through the app, then raised a pre-seed round and grew to six people. No independent source confirms that outcome. [2]
A July 2024 reviewer says the app produced more leads and conversations than in-person Bay Area events. A Product Hunt commenter says months of use brought them into contact with "so many interesting and driven people". Each is a single early-user account. [2] [4]
Complaints are few, and they cluster on speed and location. The table counts how many of the visible reviews raised each one.
| Problem | Who it hits | How often | How bad it gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily profile picks arrive too slowly | Users who want more candidates each day | 1 of 10 visible App Store reviews, Oct 2025; the developer says it is testing an advanced search with about 100 users | One reviewer's view. The developer's reply gives no rollout date. |
| Location picks need work | Users who rely on location filters | 1 of 10 visible App Store reviews, June 2024 | One reviewer; no later App Store complaint about location |
| Same candidates for different topics | Founders testing more than one topic | 1 of 4 comments in a Show HN thread, Oct 2024 | Early launch; the commenter suspected too few candidates or a demo [2] [5] |
71 of 1,183 written Google Play reviews (6.0%, November 2026) start with the same 60 characters as another review, in 33 repeated openings. The most repeated opening appears four times, under four different names. Repeated text lowers how much weight the written reviews can carry on their own. [3]
The Android star rating is still a useful signal. The repeated written text is the part to discount. [3]
Sort Google Play reviews by newest, and look for problems that repeat in plain words, such as slow picks or pay complaints. A review that names a specific filter or month tells you more than one that says "great app".
