| Trustpilot | 4.2 / 5 | 108 (22 in the last 12 months) | Mentees and mentors. 81% five-star, 12% one-star[1] |

| Company homepage | “97% satisfaction” | No sample or period given | A company claim, not a survey result[3] |
Checked 2 and 4 November 2026. MentorCruise's Trustpilot profile is mostly five stars: 81% of its 108 reviews, and 12% are one-star, about 13 reviews. Only 22 of the 108 are from the last 12 months, about one in five, so the score leans on older experiences. [1]
The most repeated complaint is refunds and cancellations, at least 5 of 108 reviews from 2022 to 2025. Mentor quality comes up in 2 reviews. If you read only the average, you miss where the risk sits. [1]
Product Hunt's 5.0 comes from eight reviews, and three of those reviewers are mentors. That is too few to set against Trustpilot's 108, so treat it as a sign that mentors like the tools, not as a rating of the service. [2]
Trustpilot's profile says the company hasn't replied to negative reviews, but replies appear in 2022, 2023 and 2025. The profile also says the company hasn't recently invited reviews. Read the replies yourself before you decide how the company handles complaints. [1]
About 15 of the 108 Trustpilot reviews (2022 to 2026) praise a mentor's quality in a named field, including web development, product, marketing, cybersecurity, deep learning and Flutter. That is praise for individual mentors, not a measured quality rate. [1]
Mentors are the other group that speaks well of the platform. Three of the 108 reviews, from mentors in 2023 to 2025, say MentorCruise handles scheduling, in-app payments and communication, and sends some clients. One December 2025 mentor says it saves significant marketing time. None of them gives lead volume. [1]
| Problem | Who it hits | How often (sample, dates) | How bad it gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refund, cancellation or unused-session dispute | Mentees | At least 5 of 108 reviews, 2022 to 2025 | Paid sessions go unused. The company says it grants “over 85%” of refund requests, with no period or denominator (Feb 2025). |
| Mentor quality varies | Mentees | 2 of 108 reviews, 2022 and 2024 | One says the mentor wasn't a domain expert. The other asks for better vetting. |
| Ratings and filters hide the choice | Mentees | 2 of 108 reviews, 2024 and Nov 2025 | Ratings don't show on some mentor pages, and schedules aren't visible before you pay. |
| Chargeback or payment dispute | Mentees | 1 case, 2022 to 2023 | The company disputed the reviewer's account and said the bank confirmed the charge. |
| Profile hidden after an invoice challenge | Mentors | 1 of 108 reviews, Aug 2025 | The reviewer says there was no reply to the challenge. |
| Few local mentors | Mentees outside large markets | 1 of 108 reviews, Mar 2024 | A Canadian mentee found few local mentors and no file sharing in chat. [1] |
The worst cases are about money and access, not poor sessions. Two October 2025 one-star reviews describe cancelling after one or a few sessions. One says a mentor shut off contact and later sessions were not refunded. The company says the mentor declined a refund and found no evidence of blocking. [1]
The homepage says “97% satisfaction rate,” with no sample size or period. Neither that figure nor Trustpilot's five-star share is a survey: anyone can post a Trustpilot review, and Trustpilot does not fact-check them. [3] [1]
Read reviews from people in your field first, and from the last year, because only 22 of 108 are that recent. Then open the company's replies. The 2022 to 2025 replies show where the company agrees to refunds and where it disputes an account. [1]
When a review says a refund was refused, check the grounds in the refund grounds before you decide whether that review is fair. The listed grounds include an unresponsive mentor, serious misconduct, services not provided, and missed or unprepared calls. [4]
