MentorCruise for Mentors

On a $100 rate the mentee pays $120, and after card fees you keep $95.50 to $96.22. The help articles publish no commission schedule, minimum payout or tax terms, so ask for them before you set a rate. [2] [1] [4]

What you keep on a session

On a $100 rate, the mentee is charged $120. MentorCruise keeps $20, which is 16.7% of the charge, and your share before card fees is $100. The fee sits on the mentee's side as a markup, so your rate is what you set. [1]

At the card rates in the payout article (2.9% plus $0.30 to 3.5% plus $0.30), a $120 charge costs $3.78 to $4.50, so you keep $95.50 to $96.22 of the $100 rate. Against the $120 the mentee pays, that is about 80% after card fees, or 83.3% before them. [2]

The company's custom-plan example works the same way: $180 charged, $150 to the mentor, and a $30 fee to MentorCruise, which is 16.7%. Four $100 sessions in one month give you $400 before card fees. [1] [2]

What the platform handles for you

Mentors describe the platform taking over the admin: scheduling, in-app mentee payments and communication, plus some client sourcing. Three of the 108 Trustpilot reviews, from 2023 to 2025, say so. One December 2025 mentor says it saves significant marketing time. None of the mentor reviews gives lead volume. [4]

What is not published

MentorCruise publishes no commission schedule, minimum payout or tax treatment beyond the card-fee example. Its policy for a mentor-ended mentorship asks the mentor to refund partly or in full, but gives no amount. [2] [3]

Applications, profiles and invoice disputes

One September 2026 applicant was rejected for leaving LinkedIn and Twitter fields blank, despite sending a CV. Fill in every field before you submit. [4]

One mentor says their profile was hidden from search after they challenged Stripe invoices they consider not tax compliant, and that there was no reply (Aug 2025). Keep written records of any invoice or visibility dispute. [4]

Should you mentor here?

Yes, if you want the admin handled and you can accept a payout that is only partly described. Hold off until support gives you the commission schedule, minimum payout and tax treatment in writing. Then compare your rate with the $95.50 to $96.22 you keep, not with the $120 the mentee sees. [2]
