Founder and startup talent network · Startup employers guide
A startup should get a written price, eligibility rule and refund terms before a call, because CoffeeSpace publishes none of the three for hiring. Its candidate and speed figures are the company's own claims, and Wellfound publishes fixed recruiter prices for comparison. [1] [2] [6]

CoffeeSpace publishes no price for startup hiring, for its recruiter tools or for CoffeeSpace AI. Its homepage offers 'Start hiring' and 'Book a call', and the AI site offers 'Book a call' and 'Book a demo'. Recruiter tools 'have separate pricing', with no figures. [1] [2]
Eligibility depends on which page you read. The homepage FAQ says Seed to Series B with at least $10M raised, CoffeeSpace AI says Pre-Seed to Series A, and a LinkedIn post says 25+ startups from Pre-Seed to Series A. Ask for the current rule in writing before you plan a role. [1] [2] [3]
CoffeeSpace AI ranks candidates for founding and early engineering roles, using semantic search, keyword search, filters and language models. It gives no method, so you cannot test how the ranking works from the site alone. [2]
The homepage claims 24 hours to a first candidate, 200+ interviews last month and 10,000+ vetted candidates. None of these has a defined period, and 'vetted' is not explained. Ask the company what 'vetted' means and what 'last month' covers. [1]
The company also says it gives direct support to 50 Seed to Series B clients and has partnerships with Paraform and Contrario that reach '1,000+ more startups'. Paraform's own site does not mention CoffeeSpace. [4] [7]
Wellfound publishes fixed recruiter prices: Reach Starter at $135 per seat a month, Growth at $199 per seat a month, and Autopilot at $500 per open role a month plus a 10% placement fee. [6]
Paraform's recruiter AI toolkit is free, and its page shows no company fee. It is a useful comparison because it is priced openly, unlike CoffeeSpace. [7]
Before the first call, ask for the price, the eligibility rule and the refund terms in writing. Then run one role through the process and count what you receive: the candidates, the interviews and the time to a first candidate, measured against the 24-hour claim. [1]
Keep the test small. One role gives you a real comparison with the Wellfound prices, and it avoids committing budget before the pool is clear.
The privacy policy names no AI model provider, and it does not say whether candidate profiles or résumés reach one. Ask whether candidate text goes to a model provider before you upload a role description or a candidate's file. [5] [2]
Only after you have a written price and eligibility rule. Without them, the comparison is with Wellfound's published prices, and CoffeeSpace's candidate claims are unaudited. Ask for both before a call, and test one role before you commit budget. [6]
