Paying for VIP just to browse
- What to do instead
- Browse the free plan first, then test one advanced search
- Why it matters
- Free accounts see only a count of matches; results need VIP [8] [9]

Most costly MyBzz mistakes come from buying the wrong plan, cancelling in the wrong place, or sharing contact details before testing them. Browse on the free plan first, cancel app plans in the store before you delete the account, and test phone and email visibility with two accounts. Add a phone number before 6 November 2026, when Facebook and LinkedIn login go. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| Mistake | What to do instead | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Paying for VIP just to browse | Browse the free plan first, then test one advanced search | Free accounts see only a count of matches; results need VIP[8] [9] |
| Buying VIP on the web while app VIP is active | Cancel the app plan in the store and wait for it to end | One VIP per account across web and app; the web purchase is blocked while app VIP is active[1] |
| Deleting the account before cancelling | Cancel app subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play first | Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription[3] [2] |
| Expecting brand promotion to lift your ranking | Buy a featured offer for a dated spike instead | Brand promotion costs $39 a month and does not affect ranking[15] |
| Assuming a 14-day refund right | Get the withdrawal rule in writing before you pay | The terms and the help centre disagree[4] [5] |
| Letting a renewal run that you meant to stop | Cancel at least a day before the period ends | The terms say 24 hours; the help centre gives no deadline[4] [2] |
| Ignoring the failed-payment email | Check spam and update your card before renewal | VIP switches off at the end of the paid period if the charge still fails[6] |
| Sharing a phone number without a test | Test visibility with two accounts first | Three MyBzz statements about phone and email visibility disagree[1] [14] |
| Waiting until the sign-in change | Add a phone number and test an SMS code before 6 November 2026 | Facebook and LinkedIn login go; SMS limits apply[4] [7] |
| Writing a long sentence into plain-language search | Use a short role and place, such as “CTO fintech Warsaw” | The help centre says short role-and-place phrases work best; the web shows how it read your sentence, and the app does not[8] |
| Selling a paid event without asking | Ask support about fees, payouts and refunds in writing first | The help centre does not state them[10] |
Each row names a mistake the terms or help centre make easy to commit, with the fix beside it. [4] [5]
Buy 30 days of VIP with points, not 7. 350 points buy 30 days, about 11.7 points a day, while 100 points buy 7 days, about 14.3 a day. Points do not expire, so you can save them until the longer block is worth it. [11]
Test the SMS sign-in before 6 November. Codes can be resent after 60 seconds and last 30 minutes, and five texts go to one number in 24 hours. If the code does not arrive, you lose time on a day you may already be busy. [7] [4]
Buy a featured offer only for a known spike. A featured slot costs from $1.99, one-time, for one or seven days. Each VIP member also gets one free 7-day feature a month, so use that before paying. [12]
Don’t chase the monthly ranking for VIP. Rankings count only the current calendar month and reset on the 1st. The top three get a newsletter profile, a spot on the home page and a badge. They get no prizes, and VIP is not given for a place. [13]
