A seat gives you candidate search by timezone, location, skills, years of experience and education. You see résumés and social links, bulk accept or reject candidates, and stop applications from expiring. Employers can also message candidates directly, but the candidate must accept the chat first. [1] [5]
Recruit Pro's help article says recruiters see a candidate's desired salary. Wellfound's desired-salary help page doesn't say whether it works as a search filter, so test it on a real search before you rely on it. [1] [6]
Recruit Pro is $499 per seat a month, billed upfront each month. One seat for a year is $5,988, and two seats are $11,976. The plan renews automatically unless an Admin cancels, and cancelling stops renewal while the plan runs to its end date. [1] [3]
Seats are for Admin or Recruiter team members. Permanently removing a seat requires an email to Wellfound's talent support, and the help article states no billing rule for changing seats mid-term. Count your seats before you buy, not after. [2]
Month one: set up one seat, post roles with salary ranges, and run the same search you'd normally run elsewhere. Count the candidates who fit your must-haves, so you have a number to compare later. [4] [1]
Month two: message the best matches directly, and remember the candidate has to accept the chat. Track which messages get accepted. That is the clearest early signal before you commit to a second seat. [5]
Month three: cancel before the renewal date if the count of qualified candidates didn't justify the seat. Keep the cancellation date in your calendar from the day you buy. [3]
Reach is AI sourcing for recruiters. It returns ranked results and builds company lists from web and profile data, and its outreach syncs with Gmail only. It starts at $135 a seat a month on the pricing page read on 2 November 2026. Its MCP access was free until 1 October 2026, and no later price was published. [11] [10] [12]
Curated gives you vetted candidates in US software, product, data, design and sales, and its lists refresh twice a week. The seat is $499 a month, and the fee is 20% of the hired candidate's base salary, so a $150,000 hire costs $30,000 on top of the seat. Its “3X the rate” claim comes with no sample or baseline. [9] [8]
The pricing page says an applicant tracking system is included free on every plan. It also lists ATS integration under Growth and Scale. Confirm which plan gives you the integration you need, since the seat you buy may not include it. [10] [7]
Wellfound's terms conflict on refunds. The 2020 General Terms allow a refund request within seven days, while the 2019 and 2021 terms call subscription fees non-refundable. Ask which terms apply to a seat before you pay. [13] [14]
Fake applicants are disputed in the reviews. One employer says they flooded its posts, and a founder in March 2026 says the site bans fake accounts. Wellfound publishes no fraud rate, so verify each candidate's identity and experience yourself. [15] [16]
One employer reviewer says the account was suspended after WhatsApp interviews (May 2026). The review shows no reply from Wellfound, so keep records of your interview routes and outreach in case of a dispute. [16]
Yes, if you search every week and a seat's $5,988 a year is less than the search time it replaces. No, if you post a few roles a year. Start with one month on a single seat, count the qualified candidates, and cancel before renewal if the count doesn't justify the cost. [1] [3]
