German-speaking job platform ยท Compared with Omnitwine guide

XING vs Omnitwine

XING is a job board and professional network with a free Basic tier, and messaging people outside your network needs Premium at 7.95 to 9.95 EUR a month. Omnitwine is free, its AI suggests fitting members, but it is young and shows every member's name, email and LinkedIn to signed-in members. Use XING for German-language job listings, and Omnitwine when you want a job through a person rather than a listing. [3] [2] [5] [6]

The short difference

XING is a job board and a professional network. Basic is free, but reaching someone you don't know costs money. Omnitwine is a connection tool: you tell its AI you want a job, and it connects you with the members on the other side who fit, each with a reason. Both of you decide whether to connect. [1] [4]

When XING is the better choice

Choose XING when you want job listings and a profile that recruiters can find. Job search is free on Basic, and full listings have been visible to logged-out visitors since July 2024. Recruiters can buy TalentManager or job ads there, and Omnitwine offers neither. [1] [5]

When Omnitwine fits

Choose Omnitwine when you want a job and the hard part is reaching the right person, not finding a listing. Its AI builds a profile from your conversations with it, so suggestions reflect what you are working on, and each one says why the connection suits both of you. [4] [5] [7]

To message someone outside your network on XING, you need Premium at 7.95 to 9.95 EUR a month on the 12-month term. On Omnitwine, the suggestions and the member directory cost nothing. The directory lists every member's name, email and LinkedIn, for signed-in members only. [3] [5] [6]

What each one doesn't do

XING on Basic cannot reach strangers, and its renewal rule costs money if you miss the notice date. Omnitwine does not sell jobs or services, hold payment, verify identity or skills, or promise a match or a reply. Every member's name, email and LinkedIn is visible in its directory to signed-in members before any connection, so share only what you are comfortable with. It is a young network, so who you can meet depends on who has joined. [2] [6] [5]

Using both

They solve different problems. Use XING for job listings and German-language recruiting, and use Omnitwine to connect with the other side of one job. If you are working with someone new and worried about payment, we recommend using an escrow service.
