XING for Job Seekers

Basic XING is free for job search, and full listings have been visible to logged-out visitors since July 2024. Pay for Premium only if you need to message people outside your network. Reviewers say many listings are stale or duplicated, so check each job before you apply. [1] [3]

Job search is free, and the listings are the main product now

Job search sits on XING's homepage, and full listings have been visible to logged-out visitors since July 2024. You can run job search on Basic without paying. [1] [2]

Listings are the weak point, so check every one

At least six reviewers from 2025 and 2026 say listings are stale, duplicated or already filled, and that the location filter is ignored. Before you apply, check the posting date and the employer, and look for the same role on the employer's own website. [3]

The AI job search is useful for some and odd for others

About four people on a 2025 German review page found the AI job search useful, and others say its swipe-style feature looks like a dating app. Use it alongside your normal searches, and judge it by the listings it actually shows you. [4]

Premium and ProJobs help only if you need outreach or visibility

Premium messages any member and shows who viewed your profile. It costs 7.95 to 9.95 EUR a month on the 12-month term (meetergo, October 2026). ProJobs costs 14.95 EUR a month (meetergo, October 2026), and reviewers say a three-month booking brought almost no profile views in 2025. [9] [10] [6]

Three or four reviewers from 2023 to 2025 say a paid product helped them get hired. That is a small, self-selected group. [5]

Your first three months

Start with the profile. Free German guides, including Karrierebibel's field-by-field guide (updated February 2026), cover the fields recruiters read: job wishes, work history and skills. Then run searches on Basic for a month, and keep a list of the listings you apply for. [12]

Finding work beyond XING

XING is one place to look. Indeed reviews from September and October 2026 describe sponsored-ad charges and an account requirement before page two of results, and Jobware has a 2.0 Trustpilot score from only 13 reviews. [7] [8]

Should you pay for XING as a job seeker?

Stay on Basic for the search. Pay only to reach people outside your network, on the shortest term you can, and cancel 21 days before it renews. [9] [11]
