Founder and advisor discovery ยท Is it worth it? guide
CoFoundersLab is worth trying for free if you are a founder with a clear skill gap, and not worth $29 a month until the free limits block you. The trial becomes a charge automatically, the cancel route is not on the Terms page, and the Terms set no general refund policy. Start only after you have saved the cancel control. [1] [2] [6]
Add Omnitwine as a preferred source on Google| If you are... | Worth it? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A founder with a skill gap, testing the directory | Try it free first | The free plan shows you the limit and whether anyone replies, before a card is charged[1] [7] |
| A founder who must message many people in one month | Yes, for one month | Unlimited messaging for $29 a month after a 30-day trial, with an automatic charge[1] [2] |
| An entrepreneur who wants the courses | Look first | One course is free and the rest cost $99 each. All-access is listed at $15 a month, so confirm the price at checkout.[3] |
| Anyone who needs a trusted process or a refund | No | The BBB rates it F; the Terms set no general refund policy; the class action is an allegation[5] [2] [8] |
CoFoundersLab is worth it for a founder who wants to search and message a directory for a short time and has a clear reason to pay for more contacts. It is not worth it for anyone who needs a dependable reply, a refund route or a trusted vetting process. The Better Business Bureau rates it F, and Trustpilot gives it 1.3 out of 5 from 107 reviews. [5] [6]
Worth it, free first. The free plan lets you search and message, so you can test whether the directory produces replies before any card is involved. Its messaging is labelled 'Limited', so the test shows you the cap. If you need a specific skill and the directory turns up nothing you can contact in a week, Premium will not solve that. [1] [7]
Worth it, for one month, if the trial works for you. Premium gives unlimited search, direct messages and video chat, and a 30-day trial. At $29 a month, three months of Premium costs $87, and a full year at the monthly rate costs $348. [1] [4]
Set the cancel date on day one. The Terms charge your card automatically after the trial and set no general refund policy, so a missed cancel means a month you cannot easily reclaim. [2]
Worth a look, free first. One of the 14 featured courses is free. Each of the others costs $99, and the site lists all-access at $15 a month. All-access is cheaper than one $99 course only if you use it for less than about 6.6 months. The site's prices conflict, so confirm the all-access figure at checkout. [3] [1]
Not worth it. Reviewers report fake or inactive profiles, the Terms describe no member verification, and a federal class action filed in December 2023 alleges refused cancellations and missing renewal notices. Those are allegations, not findings. A trusted process needs member verification and a refund route, and the Terms describe neither. [7] [2] [8]
The answer changes if CoFoundersLab publishes a clear cancel route, a refund term you can read in writing, and a number for the free plan's limits. Until then, the free plan is the only part of the offer you can judge before you pay. A reviewer who describes a working cancel and a reply to a specific message would also change the picture.
