CoFoundersLab: Pros and Cons

CoFoundersLab's real advantages are a free directory you can search, and Premium's unlimited messaging. Its problems are the ones that cost money: a trial that becomes a charge, a cancel route that is not published, no general refund policy and slow support. Premium is worth testing only if the free directory has already produced replies you want to follow up. [1] [2] [9]

The biggest pro is that you can look before you pay

The free plan lets you search the directory and message members, so you can see the profiles before a card is involved. Premium's unlimited search, direct messages and video chat are the paid upgrade for people who need more contacts in a month. [1] [7]

The biggest con is that the money moves before the value does

The Terms charge your card automatically after the 30-day trial, and they say to cancel before the renewal date. The cancel steps are not on the Terms page, and the Terms set no general refund policy. Cancelling is the most common complaint on Trustpilot, from March 2022 to October 2026. [2] [10] [11]

Founders carry most of the risk, and advisors get the least information

Founders pay in money and time: the trial charges, and messages that get no reply. Entrepreneurs face the gap between the course prices on the site. Advisors learn little about how they would join, be vetted or be paid. [12] [5] [4] [1]

The matching con: a directory, not a match

CoFoundersLab's free plan is a directory where members find and contact each other. No automated match is described, and the homepage's promise of a partner 'based on interests, skills and location' comes with no criteria. Reviewers report connection requests that went unanswered, and some contacts that were salespeople. [7] [4] [12]

If you want a co-founder suggested to you rather than found by search, Omnitwine is free to try. Its AI suggests members who fit what you describe, each with a reason, but both of you decide whether to connect, and it is a young network, so the result depends on who has joined. [6] [18]

A growing con: unsubscribe failures are the newest complaint

Cancelling has been the top complaint since 2022, but the newest reviews have moved to email. 11 of the 20 newest Trustpilot reviews, from February to October 2026, mention spam or unsubscribe failures, including mail from people who never signed up. [13] [3]

Which matter most for you

If you are a founder testing the directory, the free search is the pro that counts, and the matching con decides it. Message five members in your first week. If none reply, Premium will not fix that. [1] [12]

If you are a founder who must reach many people in one month, Premium's unlimited messaging is the pro that matters. Only start the trial once you have found the cancel control, because the charge follows the trial automatically. [1] [2]

If you are an entrepreneur looking at the courses, the one free course is the only cheap way to judge the content. The $99 price and the $15 all-access price on the same site do not agree, so check the figure at checkout. [5] [1]

If you are an advisor, nothing on the site says how advisors join, get paid or are vetted. Ask before you sign up. [4] [3]
