About MentorCruise

MentorCruise is a platform for booking paid one-to-one mentorship. Mentees get a 7-day trial and pay a 20% markup on the mentor's rate, and mentors get scheduling and payments handled. Praise centres on mentor quality, and complaints centre on refunds. [1] [2] [7]

MentorCruise in one paragraph

MentorCruise connects mentees with paid mentors. You search or browse, check a mentor's profile, and start a trial. The mentor accepts, payment details are entered, and the chat opens. Billing then runs until you pause or end the mentorship. The platform's fee is a markup on what the mentee pays. [1] [2]

What it's like to book

Booking is quick if you already know what you want. Mentees in Trustpilot reviews from 2023 to 2026 praise the choice of mentors and the smooth signup. The harder part is choosing: some mentor pages don't show ratings, filters are called restrictive, and a 2024 reviewer says schedules aren't visible before you pay. [7]

The first step trips people up. The homepage says “Try your first call for free with every mentor you're meeting,” while the trial article says payment details are entered when the mentor accepts. Read the checkout screen before you agree. [6] [1]

What it's like to mentor

Mentors describe the platform handling the admin: scheduling, in-app payments and communication, plus some client sourcing. Three of the 108 Trustpilot reviews, from 2023 to 2025, say so, and one December 2025 mentor says it saves significant marketing time. [7]

Applications can be rejected for incomplete profiles. One September 2026 applicant was turned down for leaving LinkedIn and Twitter fields blank, despite sending a CV. MentorCruise publishes no commission schedule. Its payout article's card rates, 2.9% to 3.5% plus $0.30, leave the mentor $95.50 to $96.22 of a $100 rate. [7] [3]

What people love, and what frustrates them

People praise the mentors. About 15 of the 108 Trustpilot reviews (2022 to 2026) praise a mentor's quality in fields such as web development, product, marketing, cybersecurity, deep learning and Flutter. [7]

The frustrations are refunds, matching time and the lack of visible ratings. Refund and cancellation disputes are the most repeated complaint, at least 5 of 108 reviews from 2022 to 2025. Matching can take time, and the company says mentors should know your goal before they accept. [7]

Who MentorCruise suits

It suits mentees who want paid help from a named specialist on a schedule, who can state their goal in the first message, and who will use the trial to test fit. It suits less well anyone who needs a quick, free answer, or who expects a refund after a silent mentor without written proof. [1] [5]

It suits mentors who want the admin done for them. It suits less well anyone who needs the full payout terms before committing, since no commission schedule is published. [3]
