MyBzz: Pros and Cons

MyBzz is worth a free look and a paid month only if you need to message a specific person. Its best feature is that you can browse before you pay, but search results and messaging before you connect need VIP. The biggest money risk is the refund rule, which the terms and the help centre describe differently. [1] [4] [6] [7]

The free plan is the strongest pro, and VIP is the weakest part

The FAQ says the free plan has no time limit, and you can browse and see how many people match your search. That lets you judge the cards before spending anything. The catch is that the useful part of search and any message before a connection both sit behind VIP at $29 a month on the web. [1] [4] [5]

Six pros and twelve cons, and most cons are rules you can read first

Pros come from MyBzz’s help pages and its six positive App Store reviews. Most cons come from the terms, help articles and privacy policy, so you can read them before you pay. [2] [22]

The biggest pro is browsing before you pay

Browsing costs nothing, and the match cards sort by distance first, within 10 km and then 50 km bands. Gender and age are not used, according to the company. You can see who is near you before you decide whether the paid search is worth a month. [3]

The biggest con is paying $29 a month before the search proves itself

You cannot message anyone before you connect without VIP. The refund rule is unclear: the terms say the withdrawal right ends once a digital service starts with your consent, while the help centre says the 14-day right still applies. A monthly plan is $29, so one month is the cost of finding out. [5] [6] [7]

Buyers and sellers each face a different problem

For buyers, the time to a useful chat depends on whether the other person wants to meet, because a chat opens only when interest is mutual and free accounts cannot message first. For sellers and organisers, events and offers are free to post, but ticket fees, organiser payouts and refunds for paid events are not in the help centre. [2] [10] [11]

Money held. Paid event money has no documented payout or refund rule, so an organiser cannot tell how long takings take to arrive. Ask support in writing before you sell a paid ticket. [10]

The money goes to VIP and featured offers, and no member check is described

The fees that exist are VIP subscriptions and paid featured offers. The help centre describes no identity or skills check on members, and the only age rule in the privacy policy is that users must be 18 or over, with no age check described. In practice, you judge each person from the profile they wrote. [8] [9] [19]

The growing con is the 6 November rules change

From 6 November 2026, sign-in becomes phone number and SMS only, and Facebook and LinkedIn login go. The privacy policy adds OpenAI processing of profile and offer text, and matches are labelled “indicative”. Public profile pages are visible to search engines. Each change costs privacy or convenience, and none of it applies before 6 November. [6] [19]

Which matter most for you

If you want a local contact list and nothing more, stay on the free plan. Browse for a fortnight before paying. [3] [1]

If you need to message one specific person this month, buy one month of VIP. A monthly plan keeps the cost to $29, and the free search can tell you whether it is worth it. [8] [4]

If you object to AI processing of your profile, leave before 6 November. Users who object can delete their account free before that date. [19] [17]

If you are a seller, check the paid-event rules before you sell. Creating an event is free, but the help centre does not say what a paid ticket costs to sell or how fast the money arrives. [13] [10]
