What Basic gives you, and what it does not

Basic gives you a profile, job search and contact with people already in your network, at no cost. Basic members see that someone viewed their profile, but not who, and they can message only existing contacts. A connection request from Basic carries no note. ^{[1] [3]}

Job search is now the main function, and full listings have been visible to logged-out visitors since July 2024. Check each listing's date and employer before you apply, because reviewers say listings are often stale or duplicated. ^{[10] [9]}

What Premium costs you, and what it adds

Premium adds messages to any member, full search fields (name, employer, position and region), the names of people who viewed your profile, and a note on connection requests. It costs 7.95 or 9.95 EUR a month on the 12-month term, and 11.95 EUR a month on a 3-month term (meetergo, October 2026). A year at 7.95 EUR is 95.40 EUR, and at 9.95 EUR it is 119.40 EUR. ^{[2] [3]}

Reviewers say Premium adds little, and that free users lost profile-viewer visibility and cover-letter features. Those are opinions from about five reviewers, not a rate, so weigh them against what you need. ^[5]

Your first three months on Basic

Month one: finish the profile before you spend anything. Free German guides cover the fields recruiters read, such as the photo, job wishes, work history and skills. Karrierebibel's guide, updated in February 2026, goes field by field. ^[11]

Month two: run your search on Basic, and keep a list. Note the listings you apply for and the ones that turn out to be stale.

Month three: decide about Premium with the test below. If you decide to pay, set the cancellation reminder the day you start. ^[4]

Growing your network without paying

On Basic, your route to new people runs through your existing contacts. A profile can hold 100 pending connection invitations, and unanswered requests count against that limit until they are removed (eCommerce Germany, December 2020). ^[12]

Protecting your money

Date every renewal. Premium renews for a full term unless you cancel at least 21 days before the term ends, and reviewers report trial prices that rose at renewal. ^{[4] [14]}

Cancel ProJobs separately. It is a separate add-on, and reviewers report large charges for add-ons they did not notice. ^{[13] [7]}

Keep sensitive details out of your profile. Job-wish preferences feed AI recommendations, according to meetergo, and deletion can ask for an ID card or photo. ^{[2] [8]}

Should you pay for Premium?

Pay only for a planned stretch of outreach. Count the people you need to message who are outside your network. If that number is zero, stay on Basic. If you need Premium for a single campaign, the 3-month term at 11.95 EUR a month is the shortest commitment, and it still renews for a full term unless you cancel 21 days before it ends. ^{[2] [4]}
